Britons 'still working on their handy skills'
Although many Britons are planning to spend this Easter doing up their properties, the majority of them feel they lack the DIY expertise of their
parents, new research has found.
According to Halifax Home Insurance, 65 per cent of people feel they are unable to tackle wallpapering,
while 75 per cent are concerned about their skills when it comes to tiling.
Head of underwriting for the company David Rochester said:
"It all looks so easy on the home makeover programmes, but it is perhaps no bad thing that most people say they wouldn't attempt large DIY
projects themselves."
However, Britons who want an easy home maintenance job may find that an investment in PVCu products provides the
answer.
According to Stockport double glazing ( http://www.force8.co.uk/index.php ) supplier Force 8, PVCu windows, doors, rooflines and conservatories need minimal maintenance from the homeowner.
In fact, just the occasional wipe down with soapy water could
keep them looking in top condition for years after they have been installed.
