Scots 'get busy with DIY'

Homeowners across Scotland put their Easter break to good use this weekend by attempting to save money through starting home improvement projects.

Recent research by Clydesdale Bank revealed that only eight per cent of Scots have plans to move house this year, with many opting to do up their existing properties instead.

Furthermore, 68 per cent of those questioned admitted they would be carrying out the work themselves, rather than hiring a professional.

And looking across the whole of the UK, Yorkshire Bank also recently revealed that homeowners are choosing home improvements over moving house in an effort to save money at the moment.

While Easter may be over, a visit to Stockport double glazing supplier Force 8 could offer inspiration to Britons yet to dig out their tool box.

Investing in PVCu roofline, window ( http://www.force8.co.uk/index.php )or conservatory products could be a particularly low-maintenance addition, as the group insists they only need a regular wipe-down with soapy water to keep them looking almost new.
