'Accidental winner' plans for conservatories
A Bingo worker from Suffolk is celebrating winning £1 million, after being handed the wrong scratchcard when she decided to have a wager at the
supermarket near her home.
Audrey White, 58, asked for a £2 card but was handed a £5 one by the retail worker be
mistake.
Rather than arguing, Ms White paid up the additional £3 but more than made her money back when she arrived home and found that
her card had bagged her £1 million.
Now she plans to browse conservatories in order to build a new extension and pay off the remainder of her mortgage.
And it could be said the
winnings have come at the best time, as Ms White was previously facing having her home repossessed.
She stated that when she first discovered
that she had won she had to sit down for 20 minutes, but it has still not sunk in, as she claimed that she is still in a state of
shock.
''I've got a private bank account in Mayfair. I've got my own private banker. This sort of thing doesn't happen to an assistant bingo
manager," she stated.
Britons who have won big may wish to put their winnings towards home improvements such as conservatories, or composite
doors and new double glazing ( http://www.force8.co.uk/index.php ).
Not only could such improvements boost the
appearance of a property, they could also save money on energy bills, which could be put towards another lucky ticket.
