A Grade-II listed chapel is currently on sale in Northumberland, which may inspire homeowners to create a similar feel in their own homes using arch windows and arched
doors.
According to icNewcastle, West Bowmont House was once a Northumbrian Presbyterian chapel but has now been converted into a
three-bedroom home.
"Features include original arch windows, belt
and braced timber doors and a reception vestry with cast iron fireplace," the resource states.
The full-height arch windows provide views across the Cheviot hills, as well as the property's
mature gardens which surround three sides of the building.
Homeowners who also wish to make the most of their views may find that arch windows allow them to see more of the outdoors.
Furthermore, such
fixtures could also allow more natural light to illuminate the home, while the use of arch windows and doors may create a feeling of history and tradition in a more modern property.
