A couple from Durham claims that their property has been given the feel of a Spanish villa, thanks in part to its arch windows.
Speaking to
the Journal's Home Maker, John and Jen Smurthwaite, who are currently selling the house, are able to enjoy views of their property through the arch
windows.
And it is certainly a view that many people would enjoy having, looking from the first-floor galleried landing over the glazed
atrium below.
In addition, there is an inner atrium room at the centre of the property with an inverted pitched glazed ceiling together with
arched windows.
Windows looking out across the garden feature views of a fountain set into the Mediterranean style
courtyard.
"It's in one of the nicest spots in Durham. The gardens are lovely and the rooms are very big," Mr Smurthwaite
commented.
Britons who want to add a Spanish feel to their own property can visit Stockport-based double glazing supplier Force 8, which
stocks an arch window frame.
And if an arch is not the shape consumers dream of for their property, the company notes that it can manufacture
practically any shape homeowners can think of using the latest technologies.
