While many Britons are currently putting off taking the plunge to buy a new property, Paul Carter took the opposite route when he purchased a Grade II
listed property dating back to the 1850s off the internet.
According to the Times, this allowed him a prime opportunity to combine old and
new styles to provide him with the perfect apartment for West London living.
The feature he did hold on to during the makeover process was
the tall arched windows which looked out on to a terrace which wrap around two corners of the site, the Times notes.
Mr Carter loved the
space so much that he has decided to move in rather than rent it out.
A couple from Durham have also recently asserted the benefits of having
arched windows.
Although incorporated in a more contemporary manor than in Mr Carter's property, John and Jen Smurthwaite told the Journal's
Home Maker that they can enjoy from the first-floor galleried landing over the glazed atrium below from their arched windows.
