A new composite door could seem like an odd last-minute gift idea this Christmas, but those who
think of it could find themselves in famous company.
The BBC's Grumpy Guide to Christmas, broadcast on December 23rd on BBC Two, featured a
range of last-minute gift ideas from impressionist Alistair McGowan.
He told of how, last year, he found himself shopping on Christmas Eve
for his partner.
With time running out, a door company delivery van passed him in the street, leading McGowan to think: "I'll get her a
door!"
A composite door could be a particularly good gift for homes in the North
West, which saw heavy snowfall in many parts recently.
Composite doors are made of
modern materials, meaning they can withstand extremes of cold without warping or cracking, but retain the aesthetic appeal of timber.
They
are also low-maintenance, as any mud or grime from the winter months can be wiped away with a damp cloth as the warmer weather of 2010
approaches.
Force 8 supply a full range of arched and composite doors.
