Britons are increasingly choosing to improve their existing homes, rather than move, it has been claimed - which could mean making their entrances
more welcoming with new composite doors is on the agenda.
Rob Nathan, group marketing
manager at Media 10 - which ran the Ideal Home Show - said more people were choosing to renovate as they wait for the housing market to recover from
the recession.
He added that with so many magazines and television programmes on how to improve homes currently available for consumption,
DIY enthusiasts have all the tools they need at their disposal to change their property for the better.
"Maybe the house market hasn't
quite picked up yet but consumer confidence seems to be back and they are buying more and they are spending more on redecorating their homes [...]
rather than just moving," Mr Nathan explained.
With this in mind, Britons may wish to focus on making their home stand out from others
on the street by investing in new composite doors.
