This Easter, many homeowners put their time off work to good use by looking on the internet for DIY purchases - which may have included composite doors.
According to Retail Decisions, in the UK there was almost a 60 per cent
increase in the number of online transactions for home improvement products during the lead up to the spring break, when compared to the same period
in 2009.
It added that online sales were up three-fold during March weekends, while the average value of each transaction also
increased.
Carl Clump, chief executive officer of the firm, said: "There is a clear shift in consumer trends towards buying home
improvement products online. Internet purchases allow customers to have the goods delivered directly to their door."
He added that
further benefits of online shopping include not wasting the time by travelling to the store to find out the desired product is out of
stock.
With this in mind, Britons may wish to visit the website of Stockportdouble glazing supplier Force 8.
In addition to being able to browse the range of
products available - such as patio doors and arched windows - consumers can even have a go at designing their own composite doors
online.
Force 8 supply a full range of arched and composite doors.
