A rundown Doncaster estate is due for a well-timed facelift, which will include the installation of new front doors on the properties.
The Doncaster Free Press reported that work is set to start next month on the Six Streets
estate in Hyde Park.
As part of the £1.7 million project, 165 new front doors will
be fitted to the properties, while 180 new windows will also be installed, which could
hep to breathe new life into the facades of the houses.
In addition, residents will have the chance to pick the colour and style of their new
front doors, meaning that they can be sure their home will stand out from its
neighbours.
Peter Dale, the Doncaster Council's director of development, said: "We would urge residents to respond as soon as possible
as that will help with the ordering of materials to complete the works."
