Conservatories 'make the most of the garden'

Homeowners looking to make the most of their gardens in time for the arrival of the summer have been advised that a new conservatory may be one way to achieve this.

In an article for the Independent, garden designer Charlotte Rowe explains that classic conservatories can be very large, which affords the homeowner "year round" usability as a place to sit and relax while enjoying their garden, come rain or shine.

Conservatories can also provide direct access out on to the lawn to help bring the house and garden together.

Ms Rowe explains that designing a lighting system before the conservatory is erected can also give the illusion of the garden being larger.

Homeowners who already have a conservatory were recently offered some advice by How Clean Is Your House's Aggie MacKenzie.

She told the Times that conservatories can be kept free from mould if double glazing is fitted to reduce the build-up of condensation.
