As Britons increasingly opt to stay put, rather than move house, they could find that there are a number of home improvement projects which may see
them creating an improved living space, while also boosting their property's value.
Speaking to the Antrim Times, Kieran Lavery, managing
director of Camden Group, has told how he is using the housing slump as an opportunity to make investments in the property improvement
market.
He noted that it increasingly looked as though people were putting off moving in favour of making their homes more
comfortable.
"All improvements, including replacing your windows, doors,
fascia and soffits and adding a conservatory make a home more liveable and may actually increase its value," Mr Lavery explained.
He
added that other products which could boost the "aesthetic and functional requirements" of modern housing were composite doors and roofline.
Roofline products may be a useful consideration for
homeowners looking to improve the facade of their house, as Stockport double glazing
supplier Force 8 notes that with just a regular clean with warm water they will stay looking almost new.
