Despite the ongoing recession and housing market slump, more UK women are making the decision to invest in property.
According to research by
the National Landlords Association, 62 per cent of female property professionals are planning to increase their housing portfolio in the next 12
months, while a further 32 per cent claim the credit crunch has had no impact on these plans.
However, those planning on letting out their
investment vehicle may wish to have double glazing and composite doors
installed.
Such products could attract tenants through the promise of reduced energy bills thanks to increased insulation.
The
Residential Landlords Association recently advised property professionals that they could boost the value of their property by making sure it is fully
insulated.
"Potential buyers will invariably enquire about the state of the home's insulation. Poor insulation will mean a significant
drop in the property's value," the group stated.
